  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Be a resident of the Town of Smyrna for at least one year prior to the election
  • Be a qualified to vote at the town election , which additionally requires a candidate to be a U.S. citizen, never have been adjudged a mentally incompetent person by a court of competent jurisdiction, and never have been disenfranchised pursuant to the Delaware Constitution
Additionally, candidates for representative district council seat must have resided in the district for at least one year. Filing Deadlines & ApplicationsThe deadline to file for office is Monday, March 19, 2018, at 4:30 p.m..Remember, you must still file the state forms.
